Sainsbury’s is well known as the third largest supermarket chain in the UK, after Tesco and Asda who hold the first and second place respectively. The first Sainsbury’s store was opened by husband and wife team John James and Mary Ann Sainsbury at 173 Drury Lane in 1869. Since then it has grown into one of the most trusted supermarkets loved for its choice and the slightly higher quality of its goods. One of the most attractive aspects of the Sainsbury’s brand seems to be their ‘basics’ range which has been massively extended during the current economic climate and offers consumers the much celebrated Sainsbury’s quality at a lower price.
These days supermarkets are more than just a place to buy milk, frozen veggies and chicken fillets; they are packed with every food-related product imaginable from all over the world and are increasingly stocking non-food items such as clothing, electronics gifts and home wares. Personally, I enjoy the convenience of the modern supermarket as it allows me to buy home essentials such as duvet covers, towels and kitchen paraphernalia while I do my weekly shop, cutting down on the amount of time I need to spend shopping for these items. It is also so easy to return goods bought in store. I recently purchased a laptop from Sainsbury’s which developed a problem, thankfully I was given a replacement straight away and I’m extremely happy with it! Buying from big stores really does have it perks and saving extra with Sainsburys Discount Codes all helps out!
The birth of the Sainsbury’s grocery delivery service has also been a triumph and is especially great if you’re too busy to plod around the supermarket once a week! I do a weekly Sainsbury’s shop from the comfort of my couch every Tuesday evening in no time at all, and the food turns up the next day lovely and fresh and ready to use. I always create a strict shopping list which contains all of the food, drink, household and toiletry items which we require for the week, and I try my hardest to stick to it. Having a shopping list and shopping from home eliminates those impulse purchases (like crisps and cakes!) which add pounds to your weekly shop leading to pretty impressive savings! You can also pop into the kitchen to check you don’t have some of a certain product left before buying a new one.
