Sainsbury’s is well known as the third largest supermarket chain in the UK, after Tesco and Asda who hold the first and second place respectively. The first Sainsbury’s store was opened by husband and wife team John James and Mary Ann Sainsbury at 173 Drury Lane in 1869. Since then it has grown into one of the most trusted supermarkets loved for its choice and the slightly higher quality of its goods.
